Dave from South Africa writes: Towards the end of October, I started thinking about doing a TEFL course. I was living in Thailand at the time and when I started searching for a venue and company to do my course with I was inundated with results. I eventually decided on TEFL World in Ko Samui, because after speaking to a lot of people and reading up about the various TEFL courses offered, I decided that Text and Talk, who license TEFL World, were among the best.
When I arrived on the island, finding the school was a little challenging in the beginning (see our new detailed map here), but my new classmates and I soon settled comfortably into a relaxed and what was to prove to be a very rewarding course.
I found the course material very interesting, and it turned out to be everything that I hoped it would be. Our instructor, Phil Jenkins presented the material excellently and handled our questions and problems very well.
By end of the four weeks I felt that I had not only gained a certificate, but a skill that I will be able to use for the rest of my life. The course, the instructor and the support around you at the school is of the highest quality, and I will refer anyone that I can to TEFL World, Ko Samui.
